Central Registration/Enrolment for kindergarten
Many councils operate a central registration/enrolment scheme (CRS/CRES) for kindergarten places.
Central registration schemes provide a single point for families to apply for multiple kindergarten services in a local government area, helping families secure a place that meets their needs.
State-funded kindergarten places are allocated equitably to eligible children, in line with Department of Education Priority of Access guidelines.
Please note:
- Each council’s website will specify which services are part of their central registration scheme.
- You can use the find-a-kinder website to check if your preferred service/s is part of a council central registration scheme.
- If you would like to register for services in different local government areas, you must register with each council’s central registration scheme.
